Doctors in Ukraine have hit out at a son who starved his 60-year-old mother to the point of death and then dumped her in hospital.
The woman was alive but in a deep coma by the time she was brought into hospital.
She sadly died soon after her admission, as there was nothing doctors could do to save her.
A senior doctor was so shocked at the condition of the mummy-like emaciated woman, that he decided to post a picture on social media with a stark warning about callous relatives not caring for ailing people.
Dr Pyotr Davydenko, head of admissions at Mechnikov Regional Clinic, in Dnipr, said the womans death had been reported to police who are now investigating.
Sometimes even we can be shocked by the condition of patients coming to us, he said.

An elderly woman was delivered to the (admissions) department yesterday.
I stress she was brought by her son.
She was on the verge of death and her condition was beyond understanding due to malnutrition, he said.
People cannot live like that, in a state of complete exhaustion, a third degree coma.
Whatever excuses are invented by the relatives of this woman, one cannot accept or understand this.
What kind of progress can we talk about, as long as such wild situations are possible? he asked.
