Ben Mitchell has returned to EastEnders after a year away, with the character this time played by Max Bowden.
Phil (Steve McFadden)s son made his comeback along with Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) and her daughter Lexi on Monday nights episode of the soap, making Bowden the sixth actor to play the character.
But Bens face isnt the only thing thats different about the character.
Because he also seems to be missing his trademark glasses and his hearing aid, which the younger Mitchell has worn since he was a baby after meningitis left him partially deaf.

The lack of facewear and hearing aid hasnt gone unnoticed by viewers since Ben returned to the show.
