Ex-Vice President Joe Biden responds to touchy feely accusations

Biden responded to the accusations on Wednesday in a video that he tweeted, saying that social norms have begun to change…the boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset. I get it.

Multiple women have recently made public statements claiming that Biden made them uneasy by touching them, with the latest allegations coming Tuesday from two women who described separate uncomfortable encounters with Biden, one in 2012 and one in 2016, to the New York Times.

Biden explained his actions in the tweet by saying: I want to talk about gestures of support and encouragement that Ive made to women and some men thatve made them uncomfortable, and Ive always tried in my career to make a human connection. Thats my responsibility I think. I shake hands. I hug people. I grab men and women by the shoulders and say “you can do this.'”
