Aussies dominate NBA, Ingles bags record

Three Australians scored double-doubles in Thursday's NBA action, with Utah's Joe Ingles bagging 27 points while notching up 300 consecutive games for the franchise – the league's longest active streak.

Small forward Ingles added eight assists to his record-equalling points haul as the Jazz thumped the Phoenix Suns 118-97 in preparation for post-season.

Philadelphia-based Aussies Ben Simmons and Jonah Bolden also recorded double-doubles as the 76ers fell 130-122 to the Atlanta Hawks.

Point guard Simmons earnt 15 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists, while big man Bolden collected 13 points and 10 rebounds.

But it wasn't enough for Philly, who lost their third straight NBA clash to the Hawks, who relied on a combined 58 points from Trae Young and John Collins to cruise home.

Australian Aron Baynes also scored a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Boston as the Celtics pulled away to beat the Miami Heat 112-102.

Gordon Hayward scored 25 points and Kyrie Irving added 23 for Boston, who remain tied for fourth in the eastern conference.

Elsewhere, Pascal Siakam scored 28 points and Kawhi Leonard added 26 as the Toronto Raptors secured a 115-105 victory over the Nets in Brooklyn.

The Indiana Pacers, tied with Boston for fourth in the east, ousted Detroit Pistons 108-89, while Orlando Magic outclassed the lowly New York Knicks 114-110.
