A 25 year-old sex attacker broke into an elderly womans home and licked her skin as he tried to pull off her underwear, police say.
The woman, who is in her late 70s, locked herself in her bedroom after she saw that Jarvis Wyndell Petty had broken in, and was so terrified that she began to pray, it is claimed.
Petty is then said to have broken down the bedroom door of the house in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, prompting the woman to flee to her living room.
The alleged sex attacker followed the woman, where he is said to have choked her and put his tongue on her while trying to remove her clothing.

His attack, which took place on December 26 2018, was only foiled after one of the womans grandchildrens friends walked in, prompting Petty to flee.

Afterwards, the elderly woman was taken to a rape treatment center, with a DNA swab taken matching to Petty in March, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
Petty now faces charges of of attempted sexual battery, occupied burglary with a battery, as well as lewd or lascivious molestation of an elderly person.
