As fans eagerly await the return of TWICE with a new album, the K-pop group have shared what we can only believe to be a teaser for their upcoming drop.

Exciting times, guys.

The group dropped a moving teaser image today, along with the caption: Finally right as the clock struck midnight on Wednesday in South Korea.

The gif was of the TWICE emblem that transformed into a star, and fans were already going wild for the strong hint of whats to come.

One fan simply said they were ready, while others shared a whole bunch of emotional reaction gifs.

And another was just jolly to perhaps stop the waiting, as they replied: FINALLY A COMEBACK AFTER 648298317R3 YEARS.

The group launched themselves back onto the scene in November last year with their EP Yes or Yes, but this hint might solidify things with a full-length album.

However, we should keep our excitement to a low rumble at the minute, as their agency JYP Entertainment still hasnt officially announced a comeback date for the group.

Still, pundits and netizens believe were going to get something a little more concrete soon since the group performed at Tokyo Dome over the weekend as part of their #Dreamday tour which will wrap 6 April.

Their pitstop in the country also broke a record, as the group became the first K-pop girlband to hold multiple shows in a dome.

KARA was the first to hold a show at the Tokyo Dome in 2013, but TWICE became the first to hold a multi-city dome tour. Thats how brilliant we know this comeback is going to be.

More: K-Pop

We can only expect it to be one of the biggest K-pop releases of the year, as well, as since their debut in 2015 with breakout hit Like Ooh-Ahh theyve gone from strength to strength.

The nine-piece has since landed eight albums in the Top 10 of the World Albums chart. Japan seems to be where their music has had the most success, and theyve seen eight of their songs hit the top 10 and 18 rank on the charts overall.
