Another brand of eggs recalled as salmonella outbreak continues

EGGS sold around NSW are being recalled due to potential salmonella contamination. NSW Food Authority on Wednesday said Ash and Sons Eggs is conducting a recall of various cartons of 12 eggs with single sticker best before dates of April 26 and May 3. The products have been available for sale at IGA supermarkets, independent stores, bakeries and butchers in NSW, the authority said in a statement. Australian Eggs managing director Rowan McMonnies said the owners of Ash and Sons farm had undertaken voluntary testing and the farm is now under quarantine. "This latest farm was firmly on our radar because it is close to farms in which salmonella has recently been detected," he said.
