It's been some season for coach Andrew McDonald, who helped guide Victoria to victory over Tasmania in the one-day domestic series in October, and the Melbourne Renegades to their maiden Twenty20 championship.
Now comes the Sheffield Shield final against NSW, beginning at the Junction Oval on Thursday.
Already with one Shield title to his credit as coach, the long-time Victorian all-rounder, who experienced plenty of success on the field, can further elevate himself as one of the premier coaches in the country.
Test opener Marcus Harris said McDonald, 37, had the capability of becoming an international coach – should he want that, and a position arise.

"That is probably up to him but he is one of the high calibre of coaches. I assume people will probably be after him, especially if he can win all three titles in a season. People would probably come knocking, I would assume," he said.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan made his high opinion of McDonald known last month when he declared the England and Wales Cricket Board should target the Melbourne Cricket Club product as a replacement for Trevor Bayliss, who is stepping down this year.
"I saw him with the Renegades. He has won the Sheffield Shield with the Victorians. He has won the 50-overs comp, did a good job at Leicester. I saw him around the Renegades and I am not saying he will get it (the job) but that is the type of person … just look at what he has done in coaching," Vaughan said.
Harris, the former WA batsman who played under Mickey Arthur and Justin Langer, said McDonald was an astute mentor with good managerial skills.
"I think how he understands all his players and how he gives us the freedom to play the way we want to play and express ourselves and he understands the battles of cricket and how everything works," Harris replied when asked about McDonald's skills.
"He is a great tactician. He works really hard behind the scenes, people probably wouldn't realise, he looks back through all the games and plans really well. And he is a good bloke. That is probably the main good things about him."
McDonald is contracted for another season but Victoria would be unlikely to stand in his way should an international post arise.
The Victorians trained on Tuesday, with wicketkeeper Seb Gotch taking the gloves and appearing to dispel speculation he has a hand injury. Fellow gloveman Sam Harper had been included in a 14-man squad.
The Vics face an intriguing selection squeeze, for there will be disappointment among the five fast bowlers – James Pattinson, Andrew Fekete, Peter Siddle, Scott Boland and Chris Tremain – named in the squad.
