Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden will wait until the birth of their third child in July to find out if theyre having a little girl or boy.

Charley and Matthew already share sons Buster, eight, and Bowie, three, and the expectant mum has an inkling their third child may be another boy.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Charley said: Im used to boys and I always thought Id have three boys and a girl, in that order. Thats my instinct but who knows.

Charley revealed her eldest was desperate for a little brother when she was pregnant with her second son, admitting it would be nice to have that same thing for Bowie.

She added: Bowie kisses my stomach every morning and he talks to my bump all the time.

The Emmerdale pair tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony last year, having been together since 2007 and in early February they broke the news of their third pregnancy with fans in an Instagram post.

However they shared the secret with their sons on Christmas day just before Charley hit the three-month mark.

Matthew told the publication: They had some joint presents and the final one was a teddy bear with a note attached which read: “Please give this to your baby brother or sister when they arrive in July, love Santa”.

Matthew – whos starred as Emmerdales David Metcalfe for almost 13 years – is currently embroiled in a gripping storyline which sees his character unaware of child grooming going on behind his back.

The actor admitted he hadnt had too much trouble portraying his character until now as he is naïve to whats happening around him.

He said: At the moment for me its not too difficult as David doesnt have a clue that its going on behind his back…

However he said the narrative was about to take a turn and may prove more difficult for him, as a dad, to handle.

He said: Ive just read some scripts of when things take a turn for the worst […] thats when its going to be difficult for me. The storylines set to get darker which will be hard to play, particularly because Im a dad.
