Work complete on Mitchell Highway, east of Nyngan

Motorists will be able to enjoy a smoother ride on the Mitchell Highway east of Nyngan with upgrade work now complete. The $1.9 million project included widening, strengthening and overlaying a three-kilometre section of road to provide an improved surface, improve safety and reduce future maintenance costs. The project is open to traffic, with line marking expected to be completed this week. Bogan Shire Council carried out the work on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services. During the upgrade work, approximately 40 people worked on the project at various times. Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience during this important maintenance work.
