A LEARNER rider has received a host of infringement notices after being pulled over by police in Nyngan. At around 1pm on Sunday, January 6, police attached to Central North Highway Patrol were conducting mobile testing on Pangee Street in Nyngan. Officers said they observed a black motorcycle enter a service station. READ ALSO: Weve been shoved aside by the government: Horticulturalist “Police approached the rider and asked him to produce a drivers licence to which he could not,” officers said. “Checks showed that the rider holds a current rider learners licence. “The rider was not displaying his L plates.” READ ALSO: Thousands of people signing petition against CSUs name change The rider was breath tested with a negative result and was then drug tested which returned a positive reading to methylamphetamine. “The rider was arrested and conveyed to Nyngan Police Station for a secondary test,” officers said. “Inspection of the motorcycle showed numerous defects.” READ ALSO: Farming is much more than just starving sheep and dry paddocks The rider was issued a red label defect for the motorcycle, an Infringement notice for not producing a licence and not display L plate was issued. Police are awaiting the lab results of the oral fluid test.
