AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged by police in relation to a string of offences that occurred in the Dubbo region. During the incident, 350 litres of diesel was also stolen from the loader. Det Insp Whiteside said the property owner had recently attended a Tackling Rural Crime workshop that was delivered by the Trangie Rural Crime Prevention team. “The landholder was able to put into practice what was learnt at the workshop, including a timely report to the police and crime scene preservation measures,” he said. READ ALSO: Residents urged to dob in a dealer during campaign “The landholder secured evidence at the scene which assisted greatly in this investigation.” Rural crime investigators and specialist forensic officers then commenced an investigation. “As a result of the inquiries made and the analysis of forensic material an 18 year-old Dubbo man was arrested on December 28, 2018,” Det Insp Whiteside said.
