Coronation Street spoilers: Who stole Audrey Roberts money? Could these huge theories reveal the truth?
Its the big Coronation Street question right now – who stole Audrey Roberts money?
The £80,000 seems to have just disappeared into thin air, yet there are some likely suspects around Audrey who would want to get their hands on that lump sum.
Whoever it is is working with a mysterious woman who was caught on CCTV siphoning the money off from her account, withdrawing amounts here and there. Who could that be?
With plenty of people strapped for cash after Christmas there are many suspects who would love to get their hands on such a windfall, but there are a few particular faces whod be likely to stop at nothing to get that dosh.
But which of them would stoop so low as to steal that cash and risk time behind bars?
Gary Windass
Cash strapped Gary has been having a terrible time of it lately with his finances taking a nose dive. Christmas crippled him, and hes forced to break the news to Sarah that they have to move out of the flat as theyre so behind on rent, and hes even forced to give Seb a pay cut. Could he have pinched the cash to ease his own financial burden? Hes also broken a few laws in his time, in fact he has even burgled Audreys house once. But is he criminally savvy enough to pilfer £80,000?

Nick Tilsley
Nick Tilsley has always been a slippery little oik and has spent weeks trying to convince Leanne hes a changed man. Oh no he isnt! He lied about wife Elsas identity, and lied to Elsa about his other life too, so its not beneath him to steal dosh from his own gran. He also needs the cash as he owes Elsa £40,000 after he defrauded her, so hes already got form. Could this be the perfect crime?

Slippery oik number two. Another one whos not bad at deception, once convincing Gail hed committed suicide and has been known to hide a body in his back garden. David wants his own business and clearly had been hoping Audrey would retire, and from the moment Audrey mentioned the money in the pub his little ears pricked up. It seemed he had decided he wanted a slice of that pie. Could he have taken the entire pie instead?

Its easy to pin it on a dead man but a whole lot of evidence does point to the fact Lewis might have actually been conning Audrey after all. Gail was convinced for one, and although shes not the most reliable of supersleuths, she did seem to have a point. And given that he was menacing enough to warn her off, its definitely something hed have been capable of. How else would he have afforded that luxury holiday to Barbados? And that beautiful diamond ring? With Audreys own money perhaps. Now hes dead maybe its lost forever in a hidden bank account where hes had it squirrelled away – he was very definite about not letting Audreys family get their hands on it, has he made sure no one can get at it now?

Claudia and Audrey arent exactly best of friends, and it is most definitely not above the realms of possibility that she would help herself to Audreys lump sum to sabotage her competitor. Audrey certainly thinks shes capable of it as shes set to point the finger. She even goes as far as to warn Ken off. It definitely looks iffy, Claudia just happens to be having an extension built right at the time Audreys money has gone missing. How can she afford that given that she told Rita she couldnt have her investment back? Dodgy. Very dodgy indeed.
