The end of the Shane Black-directed movie saw a number of lab workers – as well as characters Quinn and Rory McKenna – gather curiously to examine cargo which had been retrieved from the Predators crashed ship.

The cargo then spectacularly opened to reveal a piece of technology that then attached itself to a lab worker, where it quickly became evident that the technology was in fact a special suit designed to take down the villainous likes of the Predator.

Its now been revealed that filmmakers devised three different endings to The Predator, with the two unused sequences having been set to connect the movie to the Alien films.

Hollywood artist Yuri Everson has now lifted the lid on the two Alien-inspired endings, accompanying the new information with images of the Predator Killer breathing mask attaching itself to the Alien characters Ripley and Newt (AKA Rebecca Jordan).

Both heroines were played by stuntwoman Breanna Watkins in the two deleted scenes.

But instead of clearly connecting his Predator film with the Alien universe, Black opted not to use either of those two endings, and instead chose to let the tech attach itself to a random lab worker.

Boo – way to spoil all the fun, Shane.
