Aussies mixing it up, Pujara comfortable
Hazlewood and Cummins are mixing it up as best they can, with more short stuff than yesterday, without much joy. Pujara has well and truly pitched a tent on the SCG wicket and has every intention of making the most of his holiday. He's doing what he loves, occupying the crease and waiting for the loose one. Even after copping one yesterday he's comfortable when Cummins digs the ball in, casually rocking back to evade him.
Tale of two batsmen
A tidy enough over for Cummins, who's been rewarded for his efforts if not wickets yesterday with the newish ball this morning, with just two off his first. Vihari gets cut in half by Hazlewood, who's found his rhythm nicely, at the start of his second over before he completes a tight maiden. Vihari looks nowhere near as comfortable as Pujara, but who does, other than this guy maybe…

Hazlewood gets day two underway
Josh Hazlewood, the boy from Bendemeer (not Tamworth!), gets us underway on day two and Pujara looks fresh as a daisy in defence for ball one before driving the second ball of the day through covers. Hazlewood then aims for Pujara's chin with the type of venom lacking at the start of day one. Just one slip in with a bit of a ring field inside the circle trying to put a squeeze on singles. Hazlewood goes short to Vihari straight up but it's too wide to trouble him. It'll be Cummins from the other end.
Waugh to Waugh: 'Just don't drop the drinks'
A golden tidbit here from Cricket.com.au from Steve Waugh, offering up some advice to his son Austin who is listed as an emergency fielder at the SCG. Back in his day, Allan Border wouldn't let them have a drink during a session … a different world now.

Warner: 'It's up to the selectors'

As we wait for day two to kick off at his home ground, some rare words from David Warner have emerged for the first time since Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft's controversial interviews.
Warner spoke about his chances of being recalled for the Australian team after he completed his suspension and the positive impact the ban has had on his family life.
Warner was speaking in Bangladesh, where he is preparing to play in that country's Twenty20 league. He is set for another clash on Sunday with Smith, who has been cleared to line up for the Comilla Victorians franchise.
His international future had been in extreme doubt but he is now considered a strong chance to return for Australia's World Cup and Ashes defences in England.
The former vice-captain said his focus was more on the short term.

"It's up to the selectors whether or not they want to pick me," Warner said. "At the end of the day, all I can do is score runs in this tournament and the IPL, keep putting my hand up and making sure that I am the best person I can be."
Warner, whose wife Candice announced this week the couple were expecting their third child, said the suspension had enabled him to be around home more.
"Life has been good for me," Warner said. "I have been spending time with the family. I wouldn't be able to do that if I wasn't sitting in the sidelines. It is about getting the best out of myself and growing as a human being. The most important thing was being a father and husband at home. Now it is down to playing cricket again and making sure I get Sylhet Sixers on top of the table."

Big session for the Aussies
Good morning folks.
