Ariana Grande eager to return to Manchester to headline Pride 2019, two years after terror attack
Ariana Grande is reportedly in talks about her next performance in Manchester, two years after her concert in the city was targeted by a suicide bomber.
The 25-year-old is said to be so eager to headline next years Manchester Pride event because the city holds a very special place in her heart.
Thank U, Next hitmaker Ari was supposed to perform at the August bank holiday event this summer, one year on from the devastating events in May 2017, but its claimed security was one of the major concerns.
A source told The Sun on Wednesday: Manchester holds a very special place in Arianas heart and shes made it clear she wants to do whatever she can for the city.
“She was in talks to perform at Manchester Pride this year but unfortunately they just could not make it work due to various reasons down to space and security.

But the council and Ariana were so eager to make it happen, they have picked up conversations for 2019 and it is now looking like she will headline the Sunday evening.
The Manchester Pride charity campaigns for LGBT+ equality and celebrates LGBT+ life, while the annual festival brings together people from across the world to engage with and embrace the LGBT+ community.
The four-day event, commonly known as The Big Weekend, is going through regeneration in 2019 and moving away from the traditional site at Manchesters historical gay village around Canal Street to allow for more space.

It will take place between 23-26 August 2019 with more details to be announced in January.
During this time, Ariana is taking the Sweetener World Tour around Europe, playing at Londons O2 Arena the week before Manchester Pride and heading to Amsterdam the week after.
Ariana was made an honorary citizen on Manchester in July 2017, after bravely returning to the city to put on a huge benefit concert called One Love Manchester only 13 days after a terror attack killed 22 concertgoers at her Manchester Arena show on May 22, 2017.
Her star-studded fundraising event, featuring performances from Coldplay, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, raised over £3million for the city and the families affected.
