Extreme heatwave is bringing a hot end to 2018 for Central West

HEATWAVE conditions are expected to see out 2018 on a very hot note across the Central West. While hot conditions are always expected this time of the year, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) said the duration of the hot spell was unusual. The temperature is predicted to get hotter in coming days, with severe to extreme heatwave conditions as the week progresses. In Dubbo, Forbes and Wellington temperatures are predicted to reach the high 30s until the end of the week; while it will hover around the mid 30s in Bathurst, Mudgee, Lithgow and Oberon.

Orange, however, will be the coolest spot to be this week, with the mercury predicted to only reach in the early 30s.
