It comes after Mark, 31, scored the Christmas number one this year with his parody of Starships We Built This City, based all around sausage rolls – with all profits going to the Trussell Trust, a charity fighting to end UK hunger.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk about the competition, Mark admitted: Ive heard Ariana Grandes [song] because its been at number one for what feels like a decade. But the Ava Max one, Ive not listened to it this week – Ive not streamed it in case it counted.
I didnt even want to give them one stream. I didnt even listen to the competition, he explained.
Mark, his wife Roxanne, and their kids released their tune We Built This City… On Sausage Rolls on 14 December before it quickly rose to number one after scoring number two in the mid-week charts.
