To All The Boys Ive Loved Before 2: Lana Condor & Noah Centineo Are Returning, Netflix Says

Netflix on Wednesday said that Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, the two stars behind its hit YA film To All The Boys Ive Loved Before, are officially returning for the sequel. The new film, again based on the book trilogy by Jenny Han, is now in development.

The casting news (via Condors Instagram, below) comes after Viacom CEO Bob Bakish confirmed earlier this month that the sequel would be the first title in Paramounts multi-picture deal with Netflix. Awesomeness Films, acquired by Viacom earlier this year, produced the original and will do likewise for the sequel, which returns director Susan Johnson and screenwriter Sofia Alvarez.

The book series centers on Lara Jean (Candor), who writes love letters to the five boys shes ever loved and keeps them locked away in a hatbox until the day her letters are mailed, upending her real-life love life.

Ace Entertainment and Overbrook Entertainment produce alongside Awesomeness. Matt Kaplan and Dougie Cash are producers.

The first film was one of the streaming services highlights; in a rare peek under the hood, it said the release said half of all viewers who watched To All the Boys and fellow YA hit Kissing Booth re-watched them at least once.
