Not a silent night at Davidson Park | photos

People of all ages got into the Christmas spirit on Sunday, with a great crowd gathering at Davidson Park for the annual Carols in the park. Every year one of Nyngans five different churches organises this event. This year it was the Uniting Churchs turn, and with input from members of all the other churches as well, a wonderful evening was enjoyed by everyone. Reverend Peter Harvey, a Uniting Church minister from Wellington, ensured the program ran smoothly and the crowd was fortunate to have Royden Donohoe, Gabe Holmes and Caleb Dutschke provide the music, which was most appreciated. The crowd was delighted with the items put on by the children from the Nyngan Preschool, the Early Learning Centre, St Josephs Catholic School and Nyngan Public School. Representatives from our different churches shared bible passages proclaiming the birth of our Lord Jesus and Father Graeme organised some enthusiastic bell ringers for the singing of 'Jingle Bells' and Jingle Bell Rock.
