David Bowies son Duncan Jones suggests Meryl Streep and Peter Dinklage to play his dad in new biopic

Duncan Jones has revealed the exciting news that his dad David Bowie might be getting a new biopic.
And the director think he knows the perfect person to play him – and no, thats not Tilda Swinton.
Joking with his followers on Twitter, the father-of-two shared a hilarious poll with the names of actors he thinks should play the Starman.
The list includes Meryl Streep, Idris Elba, Peter Dinklage and… wait for it… Gilbert Gottfried! Yes, that one cracked us up too.
In the caption, the 47-year-old wrote: They insist I take a meeting on a biopic about my dad. Who do I say must play him?
He added: Im gunning for Idris. He can do ANYTHING!
But despite those Idris fantasies, it turns out fans think Meryl Streep would be the best to play Bowie out of Duncans interested choice of actors.

However, joking aside, there was one celebrity that was pretty put out by his name not featuring in the poll.
Of course.
Ricky Gervais trolled Duncan by calling him out for not thinking that he could play the part.
The comedian joked: Youre not taking it seriously are you, to which Duncan added: Dont be jelly youre not on the list.
After some serious deliberation as to what his comeback should be, the 57-year-old teased: Only because your dad never got fat. Otherwise…
His secret was being judicious about who he stood next to, mate, Duncan laughed, before sharing a picture of both Rick and David – touché.
Spiders From Mars drummer Woody Woodmansey has recently spoken out about his time on the road with Bowie, where he revealed he had no idea the star was on drugs.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk, the 67-year-old revealed that he always found another reason for the singers change in character.
More: David Bowie
He said: To be honest, we were unaware that he was doing it. It sounds really weird now that you wouldnt know.
There was definitely a character change there through the last couple of tours, but you could put that down to ego, or its gone to someones head a bit, or hes a bit tired.

Woody added: You could always find a reason for it.
