Get back, Beatles fans – youre probably getting a bit too over-excited now.

Sir Paul McCartneys massive show at The O2 in London last night (16 December) was always going to be a special occasion as he wound up the latest leg of his Freshen Up tour.

The Beatles legend was watched on by a star-studded crowd, with the likes of Harry Styles, Emma Thompson and Rami Malek all in attendance at the 20,000-capacity venue.

Plenty of the Fab Fours songs were aired by McCartney and his band during a three-hour-long, hit-packed set, but the night was well and truly sealed by the surprise appearance of Ringo Starr on drums during the encore.

Taking his place behind the kit, those lucky enough to grab a ticket were further delighted to see The Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood pick up a guitar to join in the fun as the supergroup then launched into The Beatles 1969 hit Get Back.

Naturally, people went a bit bananas over this all-star line-up.

As if Paul McCartney brought out Ronnie Wood and Ringo Starr last night. Half The Beatles and a Rolling Stone ✅. Merry Christmas.

Not a bad Christmastime treat, right?

Sadly, thats set to be the last McCartney live date on these shores for the foreseeable future – the Freshen Up tour will resume in March with a set of South American dates, before it moves north for a string of gigs across the US whichll conclude in July.

A bit of an I-was-there moment for everyone in attendance last night, then – the rest of us arent jealous at all…
