Carols by the Beach returns to Gnarabup

For those whove enjoyed stepping into the Christmas spirit, Carols By The Beach is on again this Christmas Eve. Long-term attender and this years MC, Gordo Wilson said “Its one of the best, most relaxed ways to enjoy Christmas Eve each year.” The Carols event held at the White Elephant Café by the Baptist Church has been running since 2011. Mr Wilson commented “Ive been coming for 5 years now, and its always been a low key, come-as-you-are, sing in-or-out of tune, family-friendly-celebration time for the community.” Professional musicianss from the church are looking forward to dusting off some carols, with a simple PA to make sure everyones in time. “Its an easy way for those who feel disconnected in the community to be a part of something united for Christmas. “Long term local, just moved to town, or just passing through wed love to see you down there for this uniquely Margaret River experience on Christmas Eve.” Though crowds at the beach swelled past 300 people last year, there was plenty of room to pull up a rug on the sand, go for a swim then join in the singing for a start time of 6.30pm. “Word sheets will be handed out and well finish on time to watch the sunset.” Carols by the Beach starts at 6.30pm on Monday December 24 at the White Elephant Cafe, Gnarabup.
