Coronation Street spoilers: Lewis Archer truth exposed ahead of death storyline
Lewis Archer is inching closer to his untimely demise in Coronation Street, but before that happens Audrey Roberts is set to learn the truth about his scheming ways.
Gail Rodwell is like a dog with a bone, she knows Lewis is a wrongun and will be doing what she can to unearth his secrets.
On her return from Milan, Gail sets about trying to prove her gut instinct, and when Lewis takes a mysterious call, she follows him. And as she listens to his secret conversation, she is left shocked by what she learns.
Taking advice from Carla, Gail steals Lewis diary and makes notes on his appointments, and when he lies he has a hair appointment, Gail turns detective and follows.
She tails him all the way to a posh hotel where she spots him wining and dining another woman. Then, to Gails disgust, he takes her up to a hotel room, and Gail sneaks a picture of the couple as they go through the door.

He asks her to meet him in the Rovers, but when he shows up late she knows something is up and leaves, upset. Lewis finds Gail alone in the garden, and after her meddling, issues her with a threat, which leaves her petrified of what hell do next.
Later, when Audrey heads to meet Lewis in the bistro on the day Gail believes hes planning to flit, but when he stands her up Gail is convinced she was right. What is Lewis up to? And how will Audrey cope when she finally catches up with him?
Speaking of poor Audreys heartbreak at learning of his deception, actress Sue Nicholls told metro.co.uk of whether or not Audrey truly believed he was a good guy:Im still not really sure, to be honest. My daughter Gail has been rather pushing it over the past few weeks, but she did have a terrible time however many years ago with all that.
Theres a bit of me where the doubts have actually started, but I really love Lewis. I know Im very old and I know whats happened in the past, but you know when you have someone in your past and you go off and have a life, but you still think, however theyve treated you, that they may feel for you?

I have to say thats whats happened with Audrey and Lewis, you cant help it. So as much as people keep saying hes a badun, and especially Gail, you just hope that theyre wrong. And I will think that.
She added that Audrey has to trust her own instincts over Lewis: You have to go with your own way. Its that kind of thing where you think itd be nice to have the company… and the rest! And thats how it is but well have to see.
Audrey hasnt had much luck with men since her beloved Alf died 20 years ago, and Sue said Audrey would have wanted things with Lewis to have gone on longer.
I think she would have done, yes. Its difficult to say. Hes so out of her league, she said. Hes actually out of Mancunian league if you think about it, because hes very proper and very well-spoken and all that. So its not like Alfie who was adorable and totally the opposite, or any of the other blokes shes lingered with. So yes it would have been nice. It will be nice, youll see.
But perhaps her romance with Lewis will help her realise she can find somebody new.
Sue, however, thinks Audrey will struggle to trust again: If that should happen with Lewis or somebody else, how can I judge? I dont know how I will be. You say at the time: “Im never going to do that again, ever, I look a fool, I feel a fool”. But then something happens literally out of the blue and you think: “Gosh”. So you dont know.
