Pitbull has just gone and covered Totos Africa, and it needs to stay in 2018.

When you say Pitbull, Toto and Africa in the same sentence, it really doesnt sound like a good thing could ever come out of it.

And thats because it cant.

Labeling his version of the track Ocean To Ocean, the 37-year-old can be heard rapping around the tune as he spits out his own words about the ocean.

Then, when it gets to the chorus, singer Rhea comes on and chants the verse we all know and love.

The hit has a party vibe to it, with its bopping beats and club night feels, and was written as part of the soundtrack for Aquaman.

Some fans have already called the version the track of the summer, however, others werent as convinced.

Taking to Twitter, people expressed their views on the new hit, and it seems were all just a little bit confused as to what Pitbull was thinking.

One wrote: Im sorry Pitbull what is this trashy remake of Africa?!

Whoever let Pitbull get his hands on Toto Africa needs to go home and think about what they have done!

I'm putting it out there – the Pitbull version of Africa may be the worst thing ever.

Heres what were gonna do. We are just going to ignore Pitbulls version of Africa. Straight up pretend it doesnt exist. We can do this. We need to. Weve gone thru enough this year. It doesnt have to end this way. #PitBull #AquamanMovie

Another joked: Heres what were gonna do. We are just going to ignore Pitbulls version of Africa. Straight up pretend it doesnt exist.

We can do this. We need to. Weve gone thru enough this year. It doesnt have to end this way.

While someone else commented: Whoever let Pitbull get his hands on Toto Africa needs to go home and think about what they have done!

But is the track as cringe-worthy as Aquaman star Jason Momoas appearance on Saturday Night Live?

We think not.

Promoting the film, the 39-year-old took part in a comedy sketch for the late night show, which saw him strip down to silver pants and a cape to give Scrooge a bit of Christmas sparkle.

And this wasnt all, Jason ended up twerking with the other guests and grinding against a bedpost before bringing back his legendary character Khal Drogo for another sketch.
