Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick gets engaged to soap producer Kate Brooks in romantic proposal

Some cheerful news from the Dales ahead of the big Christmas, Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick popped the question to girlfriend Kate Brooks – and Kate said a big fat yes.

The 42-year-old, who plays Charity Dingles girlfriend Vanessa Woodfield in the soap, put a lot of thought and time into preparing for the big moment and she revealed on Instagram how it all went down.

She wrote: So after months of planning, I popped the question!!! She said yes!!! #loveislove #noordinaryproposal @katebrooks (sic).

And it was as special as anyone could hope as her new fiancee said that the romantic moment was #worthmissingthejunglefor having missed out on the Im A Celeb final to get engaged.

Corrie actress Julia Goulding commented on the loved up image with a congratulations followed by several hearts.

Michelle shared the moment with the world in the form of a cute black and white image of the two celebrating with some fizz.

The pairs announcement comes just two months after Michelle confirmed her romance with Kate on National Coming Out Day, which occurs annually on October 11, by sharing two black and white images.

She added the caption: It will all work out in the end #behappy #nationalcomingoutday #loveislove @thekatebrooks (sic).

Michelle divorced Rosie Nicholl in 2017, 12 months after their wedding.

Lets hope Vanitys relationship is as strong as this one, as in tonights episode the pair take the plunge in taking a big step moving forward. And with a proposal said to be on the cards, could it be happily ever after for these two too?
