The stars were out in full force and loving life sick, as Christian Bale returned to form along with his Vice chums on Tuesday night.

Christians turn as former Vice President Dick Cheney, directed by Adam McKay and also starring Sam Rockwell and Steve Carell, is about to come to us – but not before the stars took a spell down the red carpet of the premiere last night.

They took in the sights of the *inhales* Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills *exhales* in a flurry of grins and backslaps.

Christian himself, who packed on a whopping 40kg to take on the role, was back to his regular form as he posed alongside wife Sibi Blazic.

Amy Adams was peak Amy Adams as she just won us all over in a brilliant and dazzling red gown as she got to grips with her suited up husband Darren Le Gallo, before playfully engaging with her co-stars and director before the film.

The full reviews remain under embargo but social media reaction has seen Christian in particular be called out for his astonishing turn as the man who in many ways ran the United States between 2000 and 2008 as George W. Bushs VP.

Amy stars as Cheneys wife Lynne, herself a Lady Macbeth-like figure, while Steve plays Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld while Oscar winner Sam as president, George W. Bush.

Christians turn as the deputy, comes as the actual Prez thought the actor was his Batman alter ego Bruce Wayne.

Like, actually thought he was Brucey.

The actor has revealed he thinks President Donald Trump thought he was Bruce Wayne after they met during the filming of The Dark Knight in 2011. He was dressed as Batmans alter ego while in Trump Tower when he met the pre-White House businessman.

Speaking to Variety, Bale said: I met him, one time. We were filming on Batman in Trump Tower and he said, come on up to the office.

I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne, because I was dressed as Bruce Wayne. So he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining.

He added: I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president.
