Its beginning to feel a lot like Christmas: Carols on again

This year Nyngans Community Christmas Carols will be held in Davison Park at 7.30pm on Sunday, December 16. It is always a great night for families and friends to gather together to celebrate the real reason for Christmas: the birth of our saviour, Jesus Christ, and to share the evening with some special items from our Nyngan children. Nyngan Public and St Josephs Schools are again combining forces, as are the Nyngan Preschool and Early Learning Centre. Music will be provided by members of the Christian Community Church. Anyone with a half decent voice is invited to join the choir, who will be leading the singing out the front. This is a serious request! Carol books will be provided so that everyone can join in. The ever popular Neon candles will be for sale at $2 each. There will again be an offering for the Christmas Bowl Appeal, where all donations are forwarded to Act for Peace. This organisation works to reduce poverty, protect refugees, prevent conflicts and empower communities through training and education. This year the Appeal will be supporting the seven hundred thousand Rohingya refugees, who fled an outbreak of violence and persecution in Myanmar, formerly Burma, towards the end of last year. Many of these families are still in desperate need of shelter, clothing and urgent medical care. Please share Gods love with these refugees by supporting the appeal so that they can live with the safety, justice and dignity that is their right. Please come along and enjoy an evening of carols and the celebration of Christmas.
