The studio acquired the Viking Books novel back in February. It centers on a 16-year-old boy (a Bowie believer, concise historian, disillusioned swimmer, son, brother, friend) who gets hypnotized and starts seeing changes in the world around him– except for his Strange Fascinations. Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson of The Gotham Group are set to produce. The rights to the novel were negotiated by ICM Partners on behalf of Daniel Lazar at Writers House.

David Arnold

Lanham is repped by UTA and Lighthouse Management & Media. Arnold is repped by ICM partners and Writers House. Arnold is the New York Times bestselling author of Mosquitoland and Kids of Appetite. The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik was his fourth novel and it hit shelves back in May.

Paramount Players has the upcoming Adam Shankman-directed comedy What Men Want starring Taraji P. Henson on February 8.
