After waiting for what feels like years, Marvel have gone and dropped the new Avengers trailer, revealing its name: Endgame.

And it appears it was well worth the wait, as not only has it got rave reviews, but has also practically broken the internet by becoming the most viewer trailer ever in history.

Wow.

The preview arrived earlier this week and managed to rack up an amazing 289 million views in 24 hours.

This beats its fellow Avengers movie Infinity War, which held the previous record of 230 million.

They wrote: To the greatest fans in the world, thank you for being there from the beginning until the endgame and making this the most viewed trailer in history with 289M views in 24 hours!

People were quick to comment and congratulated the movie on its success.

One wrote: Well you can barely understand when Ironman is talking for the first 30 seconds so you kinda have to go back and rewatch.

Another added: Let me just thank you in advance for the tears Im planning to shed.

While a third joked: Im probably about 1.4 Million of those views.

The trailer begins with Tony Stark leaving a message for Pepper Potts, telling her part of the journey is the end. He also informs her that food and water has run out, and that oxygen is also running out.

We then see Black Widow saying: Thanos did exactly what he said he was going to do. He wiped out 50% of all living creatures, while the trailer is interspersed with shots of Captain America crying and looking at a picture of Peggy.

While we dont learn that much, we find out that Ant-Man is out of the Quantum Realm, and Hawkeye is out of retirement.

More: Avengers

Michael Douglas, aka Hank Pym, previously confirmed the Quantum Realm would be the key, saying: The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films.

Avengers 4 will hit UK cinemas on 26 April 2019.
