Australia v India LIVE – Day three coverage of the first Test at Adelaide Oval

200 up for Aussies

Ok, so Mitch Starc is going to play shots. He is better when he plays that way. Lights are on at the Adelaide Oval and Travis Head has his surname down as he tries to re-establish himself at the crease. He has made four runs with two genuine edges this morning.

Starc opens the scoring with a three

Ishant Sharma bowled the first over for India. Operating around the wicket to the left-handed Starc. Sure the coach said to Mitch: 'You have one job. Hang around.' He has done better than that, taking three off the first over.

Set to go day three

First ball moments away. Settle in. Mitch Starc on strike.

Play to start at 11:15am Adelaide time

Pitch assessment at 10.45 Adelaide time…

While rain clears, time to take stock…

No better way to do that than read Malcolm Knox's assessment of where the game sits after two days. Read here.

Oh no, Rain delays start but should clear soon
