Rupert Grint considered quitting the phenomenally successful Harry Potter series a number of times.
The actor – who played Ron Weasley in all eight of films – opened up about the struggles he had behind the scenes during the franchises 10-year blockbuster reign.
While the 30-year-old says he was living the dream in the first few years of his Hogwarts adventure, he admits the magic soon began to wear off around the third or fourth film.
There were definitely time when I thought about leaving, he said in an interview with the Guardian.
Filming Harry Potter was a massive sacrifice; working from such a young age for such long periods and I definitely remember thinking during one extended break, “This whole thing is so all consuming, do I really want to go back?”

As the world of Harry Potter grew in popularity, Rupert says he began to feel a overwhelming weight of responsibility.
He added: The whole press and red carpet thing was an attack on the senses. I dont excel in that kind of environment.
Rupert said it was surreal to wave goodbye to the magical world, admitting he felt a bit lost.
However, he added that the ending came at the right time.
While his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have continued their talents on screen and on the stage, Rupert has not spent as much time in the spotlight following the 2011 release of the eighth and final Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II.

He said: I peaked pretty early, but Im fine with that.
It would be ridiculous to think that you can replicate that level of success. Its going to be a challenge, but Im kind of enjoying that.
