Not everyone is set to see 2019 in with party poppers and champs as Lewis Archer meets his maker in a shock twist in Coronation Street.
Gail Platt has been wanting him out of her mothers life since his return, and shes set to get her wish as Lewis will indeed meet an untimely, and grim demise. After Audrey Roberts lost Alf at Christmas, this will just write off the rest of the festive period for her.
Details are scarce on exactly how Lewis will meet his maker, could Gail be the one to off the tricky conman?

A recent Christmas preview for Lewis Archers exit has teased that a big sum of money coming Audreys way could have something to do with it.
It reads: Audrey feels like all of her Christmases have finally come at once. With Lewis declaring his love and a surprise windfall coming her way, Audrey pulls the Platts together to celebrate. But Gail still doesnt trust Lewis and when his odd behaviour further heightens her suspicions, she sets out to open her mums eyes to Lewis the “conman”.
As Lewis plots, is he up to his old tricks and will Audrey be left heartbroken once more?

Hmmm, a windfall and a declaration of love? We can kind of see Gails point!
But whether Lewis will die as a result of committing another act of betrayal or whether he will pass away wrongly accused by Gail remains to be seen. Either way, its going to be a turbulent start to 2019 for poor Audrey as she is left alone again.
Other major storylines teased over the Christmas and new year period include Jenny Connor preparing to exact revenge on Liz McDonald, a potential moment of passion for Carla Connor and Peter Barlow and Gina Seddon getting a little too comfortable with jailed sister Sally Metcalfes husband Tim.
