Ariana Grande has made pop culture history with her recent Thank U, Next video – but the director has revealed one important scene that didnt make the cut.

Well, apparently not in this video, anyway.
Hannah Lux Davis, the director of the music video (which features references to four iconic movies, including Mean Girls), has revealed one scene that never made the final cut.
It was the backstage moment before the Santa dance [in Mean Girls], she explained. [Trying to make] “Fetch” happen, but also, the lip gloss – when theyre all with that Victorias Secret lip gloss, like, “Oh my god.” It was such an iconic moment!
She continued: [Ariana] and I were very much on the same page with like, the lip gloss… [but] that one got cut, just because there was no time in that shooting day.

However, Hannah certainly didnt disappoint with the rest of the video, which makes references to Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going On 30, and Bring It On.
From Jennifer Coolidge and Troye Sivan to actual Kris Jenner, the star-studded video left us stunned – not to mention the real star of the show, Toulouse Grande as Bruiser Woods.
Chatting about the rest of the video, Hannah told ET about Kris Jenners incredible cameo and how it came about.
She is obviously the cool mom, right? Everyone knows her. Shes the ultimate cool mom, she said.
We were talking about cameos. We were like, “Oh my god, we have to get Kris Jenner!”
Ari dropped her song Thank U Next on 3 November, and its been taking over the entire internet ever since.

The instant smash even pushed her to become Spotifys most streamed artist worldwide.
Aris latest hit was also the fastest song on Spotify to reach one million streams, as she broke Taylor Swifts record as the most-streamed song by a female artist in a single day with 9.6 million plays.
