Russo brothers admit nobody on Avengers set had full Infinity War script – and they even filmed fake scenes
The Russo brothers totally left us hanging as they refused to answer any questions about Avengers 4 at a special screening of Infinity War.
But in lieu of the trailer – seriously, guys, were dying here – the directing team did give us some juicy little details about the filming of Infinity War.
Speaking at a Q&A after the screening in Los Angeles, Joe and Anthony Russo revealed that nobody on set had the entire script – which is probably a good idea, considering how much of a liability Mark Ruffalo is.
Slash Film editor Peter Sciretta live-tweeted the Q&A and explained that the directors even created fake scenes to stop the plot leaking to the masses.
They did three drafts of the film, one draft had Thanos as the narrator of the film and was non Linuss in structure and had backstories for the Black order. That script was 250 pages. Writing out Thanos narration gave them insight on the character even though it didnt make it.

His tweets read: They originally planned to shoot both films at the same time but the stories got too complex and they wanted to treat them separately since they are very different films. So the decision was made a few months out to shoot them back to back instead as concurrent.

Crew in production meetings were getting confused about what scene was in what film and it was hurting the prep.
Sciretta continued: No one actually had the entire script. People who were in the film more than others had access to their scenes and knew more than others. There was also fake scenes and redacted scenes to protect secrecy.

Interesting, very interesting.
The Russo brothers also confirmed that Loki definitely died in the opening scenes – RIP – and that if they were to save anyone as fans from the Thanos snap, it would be Peter Parker.
Well, so would anyone with a heart after that Mr Stark, I dont feel so good line.

Marvel fans expected that the long-awaited trailer for the as yet unnamed Avengers 4 would be unveiled at this special screening, but alas, were still being left out in the cold.
However, today marks one year since the release of the first Infinity War trailer, so maybe 29 November will be our lucky day.

Or the Russo brothers will continue the torture, which is just as likely.
