Australian Federal Police is conducting an operation at a residence on Nasmyth Street in Young on Wednesday. “The NSW Joint Counter-terrorism Team can confirm it is conducting operational activity today in the regional NSW town of Young,” an Australian Federal Police spokesperson said. A tent was seen to be set up in the front yard as Australian Federal Police and other officers could be seen coming in and out of the residence. According to the spokesperson the investigation is not related to a previous counter terrorism operation conducted in Young. “There is no information suggesting a specific or imminent threat to the community,” they said.
