Fans of Fletch and Jac Naylor have been hoping the two would finally get it together in Holby City – could a romantic reunion be in sight?
Back in August the will they/wont they couple shared a kiss, teasing viewers with the idea that Jac might actually soften and let him in. But after she warned him off, telling him they couldnt be together, it looked like Flac was not meant to be. Or is it?
Hes certainly showed how much he cares of late, keeping a vigil by her bedside after her disastrous operation from Gaskell that nearly killed her, and sitting with her daughter Emma while Jac lay unconscious.
Speaking to metro.co.uk, actor Bob Barrett, who plays Jac Naylors best mate in the hit show, hinted at what the future holds for these two.
I love them together so much. Shes got chemistry with everyone, shes so great that way. But her and Fletch – who knows, they might, he teased.
You never know with Jac, you always thing – you obviously love the ugly, but theres always another thing going on. And that ep where she said “youre not good enough for me” – she didnt mean that. Thats her way of saying “lets not ruin what weve got because Ill kill you” which she may well do.

But Bob conceded that perhaps Jac really does work better alone, as actress Rosie has previously said she prefers Jac single to be a strong, independent woman.
I think thats very important that you have women on the show who arent defined by their relationship, Bob said. I think thats very very important. And the female actors are so strong theyll go up there and say “nope I dont want to be defined by a relationship. I want to be a single woman.” Shes a role model for that, a single mum who can cope with that and is also at the top of her profession and thats what Jac is.
