Butler’s buzzer-beater delivers victory to the 76ers against the Nets

New York: Jimmy Butler has nailed a three-pointer with 0.4 seconds remaining to give the Philadelphia 76ers a 127-125 victory over the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA.

Butler's winning shot was almost identical to the one that beat Charlotte in overtime just over a week ago, as Philadelphia rallied from 20 points down at the Nets.

Butler finished with 34 points and 12 rebounds while Joel Embiid's 32 points and 12 boards was his league-leading 20th double-double of the season.

Australian guard Ben Simmons posted 13 points, five rebounds and nine assists but it was left to Butler to snatch another tight win and improve the Sixers' record to 14-8.

D'Angelo Russell had 38 points, his highest total for Brooklyn, while Spencer Dinwiddie scored 31 points off the bench.

Kawhi Leonard had 29 points and 10 rebounds as the Toronto's Raptors eased past the Miami Heat 125-115.

Toronto won their fifth straight game and took their NBA-leading record to 17-4.

Veteran shooting guard Dwyane Wade scored a season-high 35 points, the most ever by a Miami bench player, but the Heat lost for the seventh time in nine games.

For the second time in eight days LeBron James was unable to lead his Los Angeles Lakers to victory over the Orlando Magic.

James scored 24 points but it wasn't enough as they went down 108-104.

Nikola Vucevic scored 31 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Magic.

Trey Burke hit the tying and go-ahead free throws with one minute and 49 seconds left as the New York Knicks beat the Memphis Grizzlies 103-98.

A well-rounded Detroit Pistons performance was too much for the Phoenix Suns with the hosts winning 118-107 while the Atlanta Hawks snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 124-123 home victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
