Swizz Beatz has high hopes for Cardi B and Nicki Minajs relationship.
The rap queens almost came to physical blows in September when Cardi, 26, confronted Nicki, 35, during a New York Fashion Week party.
But Swizz predicts the pair will kiss and make up soon – stranger things have happened.
In the months since, the female rappers have traded some seriously below-the-belt insults at each other very publicly, culminating in a full day of war via Instagram and Nickis Queen Radio in October.
Simply put, it got pretty brutal and is not a feud for the faint-hearted.
However, Swizz has an interesting take on the rap beef and believes its all part and parcel of being in hip hop.
The iconic producer, who has just returned to the scene with a new album Poison, told Metro.co.uk: Its just hip hop. Hip hop has always been controversial, competitive. It doesnt ruffle my feathers.

Hip hop was designed for the rebellious to express. Its never been proper, its been about fighting and expression. Not that I condone violence but when I look at something like that – its hip hop.
Ever the optimist, Swizz, 40, believes the tension between Nicki and Cardi will eventually simmer – to the point where they will even become friends similar to how Drake squashed his beef with Meek Mill this summer.
The Ruff Ryders star continued: Theyll be friends this time next year. Look at Drake and Meek [Mill]. Look at 50 Cent and Fat Joe. This is hip hop.
They get into it in that moment then everybody comes round to their senses because its an entertainment business. Theyre not going to kill each other. Its nothing.
We hope so because there cant be anymore shoes flying around.
While Cardi and Nicki were getting into literal and verbal scraps this summer, Swizz was enjoying fresh success with Lil Wayne new track Uproar, which he produced, getting everyone dancing much like Drakes In My Feelings did.
Addressing the overwhelming response to the track, Swizz said: I knew it was going to be special but I didnt know the dance challenge was going to happen. I didnt know it was going to get Lil Wayne to dance himself.
It was perfect timing coming and its cool to be a part of his comeback.

The super producer continued: Even when he was going through his thing, he never changed his energy with me, we always had a good friendship because I deal with him even when its not music. Thats the thing about the industry, dont just deal with artists only when its about music or when you want something. Call them on a Wednesday and ask, “How you feel today?”
We built that type of friendship.
Perhaps telling of the recent beefs weve seen between female rappers, Swizz added: There are too many divas. Its all fake shit. I dont know how to deal with it.

Me starting from 17, Im 40 now. You have to monitor your friendships because thats whats going to get you.
Things just have to be genuine. I didnt get here today just from music. Its because I maintain my relationships, my friendships and my integrity. If I say Im going to be there, Ill be there. I dont need people just to celebrate me. We should equally celebrate each other if we want things to be the way we want it.
