Justin Bieber offers to be Aaron Carters hype man and the Nineties cant take it
Its one of lifes great questions. What came first: swept over bowl cuts, or Justin Bieber?
But Biebs may have finally given us the answer, by proudly declaring that he once upon a time, he modelled himself on Aaron Carter.
Bieber, 24, now admits that he used to Stan the I Want Candy singer real hard at seven years old, and thinks hed be the right person to hype the OG butter-wouldnt-melt pop star.
Reaching out to 30-year-old Aaron on Twitter, Justin wrote: Aaron Carter i had your album when I was little.
Aaron carter i had your album when I was little. And bumped the song Aarons party. I was like 7. if you need a hype man I got you.

That lead fans to draw comparisons between the two musicians, who both got their break before they were 12 years old and both had distinctly similar blonde mop hairstyles when they released their first squeaky clean pop record.
But it didnt take Aaron long to shun the crossover, especially when his own success was called into question.
One fan mused: Its been explained to me why @AaronCarter never reached the level of success @justinbieber did, but I still wonder about it.
Listen man. I cant sit here & just not say anything to that, Ive been in this industry before he was born. Ive had harder times and always bounce back. No Im not Justin Bieber Im Aaron Carter. Im also in construction I paved the way. These kids have NEVER paid me homage. https://t.co/Qe86BI22Pq

Aaron found success during the glory days of Nineties pop, emerging as the younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter.

After hits like Aarons Party and Bounce, aged just 10, he supported Britney Spears in concert and even took part in the ultimate Nineties crossover with Lizzie McGuire for I Want Candy.
But when Justin Bieber came along 10 years later with Baby, many started to think it was a new era of pop, despite the obvious comparisons with Aarons cheesy pop breakout.
All we ask is that you observe.
Aarons breakout: Aarons Party, 2000
Biebers breakout: Baby, 2010
