Man airlifted to hospital after cliff fall at Yallingup

A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued at the base of a cliff in Yallingup on Tuesday afternoon. Police officers on duty for Leavers 2018 were called to the scene around 3pm on Tuesday November 20, where the 18 year old man had fallen approximately 2 metres from a cliff, landing on rocks. It is understood the man was with several friends on the rocks when he fell. Police assisted St John Ambulance and rescue helicopter officers in securing the young man to a stretcher, before carrying him to a secure location to be placed in the helicopter. He was airlifted by the RAC Rescue Helicopter to Bunbury Hospital for treatment of possible spinal injuries.

A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued at the base of a cliff in Yallingup on Tuesday afternoon.

Police officers on duty for Leavers 2018 were called to the scene around 3pm on Tuesday November 20, where the 18 year old man had fallen approximately 2 metres from a cliff, landing on rocks.
