Its a week full of showdowns, twists and angst in the world of soap as Shirley Carter and Phil Mitchell both return to EastEnders with a vengeance while Ali Neeson pushes his luck and ends up in violent confrontations in Coronation Street.

Over in Emmerdale, it could be the end of the line for Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk after a painful argument sees their relationship hit the rocks and theres a new arrival in Hollyoaks who immediately gets Imran Maaliks back up.

Here are the moments we reckon you shouldnt miss.

Shirley kicks Linda and Stuart out in EastEnders

Shirley returns to find that Linda has kicked Tina out and let Stuart get his feet under the table but she isnt having it and after a row, she kicks them both out of the pub. However, Linda fights back and involves the police.

Chas and Paddy hit the rocks in Emmerdale

Desperate to fix things, Paddy organises a romantic meal for Chas but everything soon sours and turns into a fierce argument. As frustrations explode, Chas asks Paddy to leave and the pair fear their relationship is over.

One to watch: Thursday 22nd November at 7pm on ITV.

Sally gets her trial delayed in Coronation Street

When Sally learns that CCTV could prove Duncan is lying but it will take some time, Sophie implores her to fake an illness. Sally persuades Abi to help her and she ends up in hospital but Gina is sickened by her duplicity and meets up with Duncan.

One to watch: Friday 23rd November at 7:30pm on BBC One.

Phil returns to EastEnders

Sharon declares her love to Keanu and they make up in the bedroom while Louise and Keegan admit their feelings for one another and get busy downstairs. But both pairs are thrown into a panic when Phil suddenly returns.

Juliet clashes with Imran in Hollyoaks

Romeos sister Juliet joins Hollyoaks High and when she asks Imran to give up his seat for her, they clash. Brooke sees Imran being mean to Juliet and as Juliet watches them talk, she looks thoughtful.

Nicola and Robert con Graham in Emmerdale

As Nicola and Robert decide to wrestle control of the firm from Graham, they take advantage of his drunken state at Home Farm and convince him to sign the paperwork. But is Nicola plotting something else?

Ali is attacked in Coronation Street

Ryan loses it with Ali when he makes a drunken move on Bethany and, later, Ali decides to pick another fight – this time with two burly bikers. Ryan wades in to help him but will he discover the cause of his brothers behaviour.

Martin makes a confession to Ruby in EastEnders

When Ruby hears that the police have a photo of her kissing Ross, she despairs and considers dropping the charges and a guilty Martin eventually admits to Stacey that he was the one who showed them it. Stacey forces him to come clean to Ruby.

Leyla discovers the con in Emmerdale

Leyla follows Frank and Clive to a room in the B and B and discovers their plot to commit an art con on dealer Eleanor. Leyla warns Frank that he must come clean to Megan or she will do it and Clive fears the whole plot is in ruins.

Gemma falls out with Chesney in Coronation Street

When Spike is arrested for robbing the pizza shop, Gemma accuses Chesney of reporting him but she later realises that she was wrong. Spike encourages her to be honest about her feelings for Ches but it may be too late.
