Healy concussed in Australia’s heavy T20 World Cup defeat
Alyssa Healy suffered a game-ending concussion as Australia fell to a heavy 48-run defeat to India in their last game before the finals at the women's World Twenty20 in Guyana.
With both teams already progressing, the in-form Healy was taken from the field and didn't bat after her head collided with teammate Megan Schutt's shoulder while wicketkeeping in the first innings.
Both Healy and Schutt only had eyes for the ball as the latter attempted to take a simple caught-and-bowled, before they collided mid-pitch and the catch was spilled in the 19th over.
Healy fell straight to the ground but was able to walk from the field largely unassisted before later being diagnosed with a mild concussion as India piled on 8-167.

"She's OK," captain Meg Lanning said.
"We'll have to look after her and hopefully she'll be OK for the semi."
Her absence came as a major blow to the Aussies at the top of the order as they attempted to pull off the biggest successful chase in the tournament's history, but were instead routed by India's spinners to be all out for 119.
Only Ellyse Perry produced a lone hand for Australia in her 100th T20 international, hitting an unbeaten 39 from 28 to go with her 3-16 with the ball.
Headed into Friday's (AEDT) semi-final against the winner of England and West Indies, Healy is Australia's leading run-scorer with 157 at an average of 78.5 and strike rate of 160.2.
Her injury capped a tough day in the field for Australia, as Indian opener Smriti Mandhana smashed 83 from 55 balls and Harmanpreet Kaur hit 43 off 27 with dominant stroke play down the ground.
Mandhana had three sixes in her knock to go with her nine boundaries, while Kaur also whacked three maximums, the biggest being one back over spinner Sophie Molineux's head.
Kaur's knock only ended when she skied Delissa Kimmince (2-42) to point in the 14th over, before Mandhana had an lbw call against her overturned in the following over from Molineux (0-45) to survive on 62.
The loss ended Australia's 12-match T20 winning streak and was their second biggest defeat in terms of runs in the format.
