All of Stan Lees cameos in Marvel movies from Avengers to Spider-Man and Thor

Master of the Marvel universe Stan Lee has passed away aged 95.

The comic book writer transformed the comic industry, and brought us numerous much-loved superheroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther and many many more.

While he wasnt creating some of the most iconic characters to date, Lee made a number of short but sweet appearances in several films within the Marvel universe.

From a security guard in Hulk to a beauty pagent judge in Iron Man 3; here are all of his cameos in Marvel movies.

The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989)

Lees first appearance came in the TV film three decades ago, where he played a jury member in Bruce Banners dream trial.

Banner, while in prison awaiting a crime he didnt commit, has a nightmare he transforms into the Hulk while on the stand and attacks the jury.

X-Men (2000)

As Senator Kelly emerges from the water, Lee can be spotted on the beach selling hot dogs, staring in awe at the newly-transformed mutant.

The Senator, a staunch anti-mutant who believes they are a danger to society and should be imprisoned, had been kidnapped by Mystique and Toad and turned into one himself.

Spider-Man (2002)

Following the Green Goblins attack at the World Unity Fair, Lees character shields a young girl from falling debris as Peter Parker watches on.

Parker quickly dons his Spider-Man suit to rescue Mary-Jane from the broken balcony.

Daredevil (2003)

Lee, who helped create crime-fighting character Daredevil, makes an appearance in a scene next to the young Matt Murdok.

He can be spotted reading a newspaper while at a crossing.

Hulk (2003)

Appearing as a security guard alongside former 70s Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno, the cameo marks Lees first speaking cameo within the Marvel films.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Coming to the rescue again, Lee pulls another lady away from falling debris this time during a fight between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus.

Fantastic Four (2005)

Taking on the role of one of his own creations, mailman Willie Lumpkin, Lee can be seen greeting Reed Richards (aka Mr Fantastic) with his post.

The cameo marks the first time Lee played an actual Marvel character.

X-Men:The Last Stand (2006)

When Professor X and Magneto visit the home of a young Jean Grey, they witness the extent of her telekinesis which causes parked cars to levitate and the water from a neighbours hosepipe to spray upwards.

That neighbour was Lee, while another man who loses his lawnmower to the display of power is played by X-Men writer Chris Claremont.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Lee appears next to Peter Parker as he reads a billboard which says: Spider Man to receive key to the city. Saves daughter of police.

Turning to the undercover Spider-Man, Lees character says: You know, I guess one person can make a difference. Enough said.

Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007)

Dressed to the nines and playing himself, Lee is denied entry to the hottest nuptials of the universe, when Reed Richards and Susan Storm finally tie the knot.

The cameo is in reference to the comic book, which saw two figures – who looked suspiciously like Stan Lee and fellow writer Jack Kirby – attempting to crash the wedding.

The cameo comes in at around 2:49.

Iron Man (2008)

Playing himself again, Lee appears on the red carpet of the Disney Concert Hall flanked by two attractive women.

Tony Stark saunters past him and, mistakenly believing he is Hugh Heffner, says: You look great, Heff.

The Incredible Hulk (2008)

Drinking a juice infected with David Bruce Banners blood, Lee plays a man who accidentally infects himself with gamma sickness.

Iron Man 2 (2010)

In another case of mistaken identity, Tony Stark greets a suspender-wearing Lee as legendary TV host Larry King, as he navigates himself through crowds of adoring fans.

Thor (2011)

Lee cameos as a trucker who tries to remove Thors hammer from the ground with his pick-up – only to end up ripping the back of his vehicle off.

Peering out of his window he jokes: Did it work?

Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

Playing a Second World War General, Lee watches on as the President presents Captain America an award for his bravery.

Lee, mistaking a government aide for Cap, quips: I thought hed be taller.

The Avengers (2012)

Lee makes a cameo as a superhero-sceptic, appearing in a news interview about The Avengers following the Battle Of New York.

He ironically says: Superheroes in New York? Give me a break.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

As Spider-Man takes on The Lizard in a school library, Lee plays an oblivious librarian, distracted by classical music and his pressing librarian duties, unaware of the havoc being wreaked behind him.

Iron Man 3 (2013)

As Tony Stark hides from his pursuers in a TV van, Lee appears as an enthusiastic beauty pagaent judge who generously scores a contestant a perfect 10.

Lees cameo actually consisted of a number of scenes that were funny as hell but were cut out in production.

Issuing an announcement hed said: The movie ran a little bit long, and they had to cut my cameo in half. Its not my fault really. I had nothing to do with it.

Thor: The Dark World (2013)

Lee makes a fleeting appearance as a patient in the same mental ward as scientist Erik Selvig.

Following a presentation given by the Swedish astrophysicist, Lee asks: Can I have my shoe back?

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

Reprising his role a security guard, Lee worries hell be fired after spotting Captain Americas uniform has disappeared, which had been stolen back by Steve Rogers from the Smithsonian.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

Lee happens to be in the audience of Peter Parkers graduation, remarking he recognises the incognito Spider-Man.

Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)

Rocket Racoon laughs as he spots ladies man Lee flirting with a younger woman in his binoculars.

He remarks of the Xanadarian: What a Class A prevert.

Big Hero 6 (2014)

Lee appears in animated form – sporting his signature dark glasses and moustache – as Freds father in a post-credit scene.

The two reunite and discuss the coincidental similarities in the way they both wear their pants.

Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2014)

Flanked for the second time by two attractive women, Lee can be spotted chastising Agent Coulson for seemingly upsetting scientist Jemma Simmons.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

After insisting to join in The Avengers celebrations, Lees character is carried away after downing a shot of some sort of liquor that had been aged for 1000 years.

Lee can be heard muttering his well-known sign-off excelsior.

Agent Carter (2015)

As a bruised Howard Stark – Tony Starks father – sits down to get his shoes shined, Lee asks to borrow the sports section of the newspaper he is reading.

Ant-Man (2015)

Playing a suave bartender in Luis flashback, Lee reassures Ignacio a woman in his company is crazy stupid fine.

Deadpool (2016)

Proving he is ever the ladies man, Lee turns up in Deadpool as a strip club MC.

Speaking about his cameo, Lee had said: I wish I had spent more time in the strip club. They had me in and out too quickly.

Captain America: Civil War (2016)

In an apparent payback for the Tony Starks previous cases of mistaken identity, Lee appears as a FedEx driver who refers to the superhero as Tony Stank.

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

As nuclear missiles are launched into space, Lee can be seen among bystanders clutching his real-life wife Joan Lee, in what was her last film appearance before her death in 2017.

Doctor Strange (2016)

Lee appears as a bus passenger who is engrossed in his book, oblivious to the fact Doctor Strange and Karl Mordo are pressed against his window.

Deadpool 2 teaser (2017)

Although the scene did not make the final cut of the film, Lee makes a cameo in the trailer as himself, admiring Deadpools suit.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

Lee plays an astronaut who tells celestial beings of his life back on earth, including a sting as his postman.

Marvel producer Kevin Feige later confirmed this was in reference to his previous cameo as a FedEx delivery driver, leading to the belief Lees cameo characters were all entwined.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Adpoting the role of a grumpy old man, Lee issues a warning to Spider-Man after he set off a car alarm .

Leaning out of the window, he says: Dont make me come down there, you punk.

The Gifted (2017)

Appearing in a TV series based on X-Men, Lee is spotted leaving a bar as Marcos enters.

Marcos – aka Eclipse – is a rebellious mutant whose character was not created by Lee but specifically although took inspiration from Marvels Sunspot and Wolverine.

Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

Lee plays an intergalactic barber who, instead of a right hand, sports some sort of Edward Scissorhand contraption.

Despite Thor begging the barber to spare his hair, Lee chops the superheros famous blonde locks off.

Runaways (2017)

In another fleeting appearance, Lee appears as a limousine driver who takes the teenagers to a PRIDE gala.

Black Panther (2018)

Lee can be spotted as a greedy gambler in a casino where TChalla, Nakia and Okoye are undercover.

After the king of Wakanda wins a sizeable amount at the table, Lee scoops up his chips for safe-keeping.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

While the kids on Peter Parkers school bus are distracted by an apparent UFO, allowing Parker to make a getaway, bus driver Lee is unfazed.

He says: Whats the matter with you kids – youve never seen a space ship before?

Deadpool 2 (2018)

Lees face is painted into a mural on the side of the wall, while Domino attempts to land her parachute.

Ant-Man and the Wasp” (2018)

Lee plays a bystander whos about to enter his car when its shrunken into a particle disk.

He quips: Well, the 60s were fun but now Im paying for it.

Venom” (2018)

After Eddie Brock leaves his fiancee, he bumps into an insightful old man who gives him a word of advice about his relationship, while hinting he knows of Brock is Venom.

Lees character tells him: Dont give up on her – either of you.
