Bryan Cranston confirms Breaking Bad movie and hopes to be cast as Walter White
Bryan Cranston has gone and told us all the news we have been dying to hear.
The Breaking Bad movie is official – and he is hoping to be cast as Walter White.
Not that he even knows if the drug lord will make an appearance in the up coming film, as he is yet to see the script, but like us all – Bryan can dream.
When making an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, the 62-year-old revealed the news, and what he makes of it all.
He said: Yes, there appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad. But I, honestly have not even read the script. So I couldnt tell you.
Although he has yet to be asked about appearing in the film, the star claimed that the creator Vince Gilligan did make him aware of its existence.

And he would very much like to star as Walter.
He said: I have not gotten the script. I had not read the script, so theres a question of whether wed even see Walter White in this movie! Think about that one.
I would, absolutely [be in it]. Its Vince Gilligan. If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely. Hes a genius.
Details about the project are pretty scarce at this stage, but the movie is expected to be a two-hour feature – although its not yet known whether Gilligan will be making a TV movie or a theatrically-released film.
However, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that the title is Greenbrier and the plot will follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.
Sounds intriguing.
Cranston added: Its a great story, and theres a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some sort of completion to some of these storylines that were left open.
This idea, from what I was told, gets into at least a couple of the characters who were not completed as far as their journey.
I cant wait to see all those people again … even if I just come by to visit!
Following the success of the series spin-off Better Call Saul, Gilligan has previously opened up about wanting to explore other characters.

He said during a Comic Con panel: I think theres an excellent chance of any or all of these folks showing up…[but] you will not see Walt or Jesse in Season 4 of Better Call Saul.
We would be sorely remiss if we didnt have these guys on the show before it ended.
