Kevin Fiege, King of the Avengers tease who just keeps us hanging on, has heavily hinted at its involvement in the upcoming fourth instalment.

The man is a genius at giving us enough rope without actually telling us anything, and the head of MCU Studios has thrown us a bone in the form of some intel over their plans for the Quantum Realm.

We were introduced to it in the latest Ant-Man, after Scott Lang descended into the alternate and got stuck after Thanos snap wiped off half the population – more importantly, those who would get him out.

Now as time travel seemed to be a very popular theory surrounding the next Avengers movie, due next year, the show boss has supported the notion the QR will feature pretty heavily in his upcoming movies.

Avengers being the major one and all anyone can talk about right now.

At the end of Ant-Man, we followed Scott Lang into the Quantum Realm for the first time. We were beginning to peel back the onion that would later be completely peeled back in Doctor Strange as we go into the multiverse. So that was our little test into that, he said in soon-to-be-released coffee table book, Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years.

But now the Quantum Realm is a whole other territory that we can play with to tell our stories. This Quantum Realm is much larger than we ever imagined, and there are all sorts of adventures to be had at that level, which perhaps we will explore in another film.

In another film?

IN ANOTHER FILM?

See how he plays with our heart like that?

It come after Michael Douglas confirmed the whole schtick last month.

The 74-year-old, who plays Hank Pym, said: Right. Right. That is absolutely true.

I mean, all of them — I mean, the Quantum Realm, thats the key. Thats the key. The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films.

Now we have Kevins weight behind it and, well, we guess this thing really has legs. In whatever universe, we still dont know.

We have to say, were pretty keen to see how they employ this clever little trick in the universe, seeing as it allowed them to pretty much mess with the whole canon, go back in time, go forward, really have some fun.

Which means a lot of our theories, if linked back to past storylines, might not be so close to the mark, but well have fun watching the MCU unfold in the next Avengers and in the upcoming fourth phase.

Avengers 4 is in cinemas 26 April, 2019.
