Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon arrives in court to face GBH charges
Emmerdale actor Mark Jordon has arrived for his court appearance to face charges of GBH. The 53-year-old actor was arrested earlier this year and charged with GBH and common assault after an altercation with 67-year-old Andy Potts.
Arriving at Tameside Magistrates Court, in Ashton-under-Lyne, Jordon was supported by his partner and Emmerdale co-star Laura Norton. Jordon is known for playing Daz Spencer in the soap and also for his notable role as Heartbeats Phil Bellamy.
Andy was also seen arriving at court for the case, which relates to the incident at a pub in Oldham.
At the time of Jordon being charged, a spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police told Metro.co.uk: A man has been charged in connection with an assault in Oldham. Mark Jordon has been charged with GBH and section 39 common assault. He will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on 8th November 2018.

Shortly before 9.30pm on Sunday 1st July 2018, police were called to reports of an assault in Oldham. A 67-year-old man was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
Jordon reportedly still remains on the show. It was originally suggested that he could be suspended over the charges but a source told The Sun: Producers have spent a lot of time weighing up what to do about the situation. He has been waiting a while for them to make a decision, but they finally told him this week he can continue to appear on screen.
They understand its a very serious situation but they dont think suspending him will help anything — especially while legal matters are still ongoing.
An Emmerdale spokesperson declined to comment on Jordons future on the show.
On screen, Jordon has been at the centre of some high profile storylines this year, including one which saw his character Daz accused of the abduction of his daughter Amelia.
