There has been a distinct lack of red mist like rage in EastEnders and we can attribute that to the gaping Phil Mitchell shaped hole in the cast. Never fear, that will soon be rectified as Steve McFadden is back filming and his return scenes are set to air later this very month.
With Sharon sneakily enjoying a passionate affair with Keanu Taylor, her fun is going to come to an end when Phil finally returns home from his trip to Spain. But has Phil discovered the truth and is a major showdown on the horizon?
Advanced television listings have confirmed that Phil will make his reappearance on Thursday 22nd November – so time is ticking on the Sheanu pairing, potentially. For now, they are estranged after being caught by Karen and almost Louise but it can only be a matter of time before temptation creeps in again.
And as Phil then turns up, Sharon may have some questions to answer about what has been going on while he has been away. But will Phil also be hiding his own secrets? We still largely have no idea why he is in Spain for so long or what dodgy business he himself might be up to.

Actor Steve was recently spotted filming scenes with a large number of the cast for a New Years Day wedding for Mel Owen and Ray Kelly, which sees the bride expose her sneaky groom as a bigamist before having him arrested.
With a returning character and also a major turning point for the Slater clan tipped for the Christmas episodes, it looks like EastEnders is once again pulling out all of the stops to keep ups entertained over the festive season.
