Jack Whitehall has taken one for the team and offered himself up for the role of Posh in the Spice Girls reunion, after Victoria Beckham decided not to join her bandmates.

What a trooper.

The comedian, who is a self-proclaimed posh boy, took to Twitter to announce his intention to spice up his life by joining Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel B and Mel C.

Spice Girls Reunion, he wrote. Yes please. Apparently they are looking for a replacement Posh? You know where to find me.

If it was up to us, hed be hired already.

Itll be the first time the girls perform without Victoria, so were sure having another Posh around wouldnt hurt, even if the Fresh Meat actor does look slightly out of place.

The girls will be beginning the highly anticipated tour at Manchesters Etihad stadium on 1 June, before ending things at Wembley Stadium, on 15 June.

Supported by Jess Glynne, they look set to have a warm welcome around the country.

However, it doesnt look like the former Posh spice will be returning to the stage any time soon, leaving the position well and truly open.

Sharing a snap of her former bandmates without her on Instagram, she said: Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!

I wont be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year, she added.
