7 Casualty spoilers: A new nurse for the ED, Iain in crisis and more

A new student nurse is introduced to Holby City tonight, but we dont initially find her in the ED. Louise is working on the maternity ward for the day and when theres an emergency she has to trust work-shy and lazy nurse Jade Lovall to help.

Elsewhere, Iain gets involved when a man is run over and he tracks down the person who did it. Hes still struggling with his own issues and the situation helps him to face up to his problems. And one Holby couple is all loved-up, while another relationship seems to be in trickier territory. Here are all the spoilers to look out for.

1. Jade Lovall is a nurse on the maternity ward. Everybody likes her, but nobody wants to work with her because she always does her best – to avoid hard work, that is. But when theres an emergency, Jade has a chance to prove that shes got what it takes.

2. Rash and Gem are both annoyingly happy after Alicia and Ethan helped them get back together. Will it last?

3. Iain and Ruby go to the scene of a hit-and-run. When Iain meets the driver of the vehicle, he discovers that theres a lot more to the story than everyone assumed. Iains involvement makes him think about the events hes struggling with and he makes a decision.

4. Ethan is keen to impress Alicia, but has too much water passed under the bridge for them to pick up their relationship again?

5. Working on maternity for the day, Louise finds herself in the middle of an emergency situation and has to take charge with only nurse Jade Lovall for help. Can the two of them work together and save their patients life?

6. Todays episode includes guest appearances from Gareth David-Lloyd (Ianto Jones in Torchwood) as an obstetrician and Rebecca Scroggs (Tinas girlfriend Tosh in EastEnders) as a pregnant patient.

7. Iain has been throwing himself into his work to try and block out his feelings after the crash. Ruby makes an effort to reach out to him. Is Iain finally ready to move on with his life?
